Why did you choose to pursue your EMBA in Digital Transformation at DeGroote?

There were multiple factors that went into my decisions to choose the EMBA program at DeGroote. I was looking for opportunities for growth and learning that would help me accelerate my career. I explored various MBA programs and degrees and landed on EMBA because it had the right balance of flexibility and duration that I was looking for. In addition, this program has a cohort that is experienced and diverse. To me it was important to learn from others with a different career and cultural backgrounds.  The DeGroote program specifically has a unique format where there are 2-week residencies that allow you to have focused time to learn. Other programs require you to dedicate every weekend for 18-24 months. With a young family and two kids this was not an option for me.

Looking back at your experience, what were the top 3 highlights of the program from your perspective?

• The relationships and comradery formed with the cohort is by far the biggest highlight for me.
• The visit to Silicon Valley was another highlight for me.
• The Transformative learning experience

How has the DeGroote EMBA prepared you as leader?

The program helped me learn how to create an environment with my team that is conducive to bringing their best self forward. Simply creating a vision statement has helped me develop a better perspective on leadership.

As a graduate of the program, how has the DeGroote EMBA impacted your career?

I would say that the Degroote EMBA program has opened up a world of possibilities for me. I have made connections and discovered that I have a much broader set of skills and network that will enable me to grow my career even faster. My world view has been broadened.
